About the Artist

Duygu 'Dee' Demiral, referred to as Dee by all, is a lawyer turned marketing professional turned multi-disciplinary artist who tells stories amongst several mediums; through words, colours, images and sounds.

 

She self published her debut novella "The Awakening" in July 2025, turning a childhood dream into reality after writing pages and pages of short stories since the age of 10. She continues to write her first novel and her first short story book, the latter set to be published in April 2027.

 

The love to create something nice to look at first captured Dee when she was in elementary school and since 2017 she has been experimenting with acrylics on paper and canvas. During the pandemic of 2019 she decided to share her work and became a selling painter.

 

Dee lives in Istanbul with her cat, travels to London often and enjoys taking analogue photographs of her favorite city.
